MINEOLA, N.Y. — Nassau County authorities are conducting an active investigation after an unidentified woman was found dead near a parking garage in Mineola during the early hours of Tuesday, August 4, 2026.

According to the Nassau County Police Department, officers responded shortly after midnight to reports of a person who had fallen near a parking structure behind 200 Old Country Road, in the vicinity of Third Street and the Old Country Road corridor. Emergency medical personnel and members of the department’s Emergency Services Unit also responded to the location.

When first responders arrived, they discovered an adult woman suffering from fatal injuries. Despite emergency efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
